It’s already time to celebrate another of our couple’s first wedding anniversaries so today’s post is featuring their glamorous & elegant fall wedding. They’ve also had a number of big life changes since we planned their wedding, including having a baby girl on the way. I am so so excited for them and love that the Kate & Co. family is expanding!!
Becky just so happens to be my sister and when she and Alex got engaged, I immediately offered to help plan, design, and coordinate her wedding. Alex’s family has a beautiful estate in Kent, Connecticut where their reception was held and they had their ceremony at the chapel of the groom’s alma mater, Kent School. After picking those special and meaningful venues, they decided on a very glamorous aesthetic with a completely draped tent, parquet dance floor, rose gold and navy color palette and just a touch of rustic with farm tables to pay tribute to the family’s estate farm.
There were so many tiny details and every one contributed to the most perfect wedding on a stunning October afternoon. From a champagne toast for the bridesmaids with personalized mini bottles while getting ready to a kids area at the reception full of everything little kiddos could possible need to keep them happy and occupied. Later in the evening, my family and I continued the tradition of performing a special song written by my dad in honor of the bride and groom.
It was a truly memorable wedding, especially since it was the last sibling to get married from both the groom and bride’s families. Now on to planning that baby shower!
