Kate is the youngest of four girls and treasures her role as a sister, daughter, aunt and wife. She got married to her knight in shining armor in the spring of 2014 and realized then exactly how much she loved designing events and just how critical superb event management is.
Kate began designing events as a very little girl hosting tea parties for girlfriends and concocting romantic dinners for her parents. Her favorite hobby has always remained assisting friends and family with bridal showers, weddings, baby showers, anniversaries, and birthdays. After graduating from university, she moved to the Big Apple and worked as a civil engineer on a high-profile construction management team. In her limited spare time, Kate began expanding her skills and experience by volunteering to design and plan events for non-profit organizations. She was craving a consistent creative outlet and decided to reapply all of those management skills and took her biggest leap of faith yet by turning her passion and hobby into a business. Alex is the exact opposite of Kate as he’s the oldest of four kids and has learned so much by paving the way for his siblings and continuing some wonderful family legacies. Then, late in 2012, he met the woman of his dreams, and his life has since been brimming with adventure, silliness, and way more spontaneity.
Alex has always been an incredibly hard worker, challenging himself physically and mentally, which led him to pursuing an engineering degree, then an MBA, all while being on a strenuous collegiate athletic team. After graduation, he found himself working for one of the best manufacturing companies in the world, traveling and constantly learning new business and management practices. Never one to sit still for long, he soon started spending his rare down-time learning as many new computer programming languages as possible and building his software repertoire. Gradually he began taking on more and more tasks for this little business applying all of his business prowess, and now handles most of the back-end tasks from financials to website management and process streamlining.
This duo makes up the foundation of the Kate & Co. team with each of us proudly finding our niche so that we can excel and produce the best business results! Kate has the keen design eye, a knack for hyper-organization and attention to detail, Alex has the patience for setting up key business systems, finding all the areas where efficiency and effectiveness can be maximized, and taking care of Kate when she’s too busy taking care of clients! When Kate has wild business ideas, Alex is the sounding board and super super rarely an idea actually gets his mark of approval! And sometimes Alex even has a good design suggestion that Kate loves too!

Between both of us we’ve:
- eaten way too many Tate’s chocolate chip cookies
- traveled to 49 of the United States
- visited over 30 countries
- climbed Central America’s tallest peak
- rearranged our home no less than 50 times
- finally found one type of music we have in common
We have a number of dedicated assistants that help us execute immaculate events with everything from setup and teardown to schedule management and backup plan implementation. Depending on event size, we will provide the appropriate number of assistants to ensure your event runs flawlessly.
